The private view of the 'Big Family Press with OOMK' exhibition was a great experience, although busy and after a very long day on the studio. It was nice to finally see all of the riso prints together and see everyone's different approaches. I really enjoyed working with Big Family Press, OOMK and South London Gallery on this project.
I think it's a great idea to have an exhibition like this, celebrating the riso printing process, encouraging community creativity and giving local children a voice. I spoke to Ben at the private view, and again after the children had seen the exhibition. It was lovely to hear that the children really enjoyed the exhibition and got excited to see their prints that we had created for them. I think it's important to give young people a voice, and to listen to their stories.
